Market Common
There are paved walkways around the lake at Market Common that is 1.2 miles long. It is a beautiful walk, and you will see others with dogs, runners, bikers and sightseers.
Talk about being pet friendly! There are 4 well maintained dog parks in the Myrtle Beach area for dogs of all sizes. They are fenced and safe to let your dog off leash and socialize with other dogs. Water is available as well as bags for clean up. They are pretty evenly spread out along the Grand Strand so a location will be near your resort, but you will need to drive to get there. You are expected to have your dog under control and under your supervision at all times, and all the parks are well patrolled. If you want to let your dog enjoy good exercise by retrieving a ball or frisby or play with other dogs, the dog parks are the perfect place to visit. Benches are available for owners to relax and watch their dog have fun!

Huntington State Park is about a 30 minute drive south of Myrtle Beach across from Brookgreen Gardens, but well worth it. There is a paved trail at the entrance which winds through the woods and is about 3 miles long.
This is the largest dog park in Myrtle Beach, and it is sectioned off for a wooded area and a lake area, although there are no size restrictions in either section.
Surfside Dog Park is located adjacent to the library in Surfside Beach and in a wooded section of town with a winding trail throughout. There are 2 separate fenced in areas, one for small dogs and the other for larger dogs.
