This is the largest dog park in the Myrtle Beach area. It is sectioned off for a wooded area and a lake area, although there are no size restrictions in either section.This dog park is a little difficult to locate, and the easiest way to access it is through the Food Lion parking lot, about 1/2 mile south of the main entrance to Market Common. There is plenty of parking and lots of trees for shade. There are picnic tables available, as well as benches and fun games for your dog. There is a large lake which you can walk around, or your dog may swim and retrieve. A word of caution here....this lake and all the other lakes around town are storm water run off, and may contain toxins from the environment. Warning signs are posted around the lake, so swim at your own risk, and definitely do not let your dog drink from any lake area, no matter how inviting.
